Sometimes it’s easy to look at people who speak in front of a group and think, “I could never do that.” Our Stonecroft Speakers may once have been in your seat, never imagining they could and would speak in front of groups and gain a confidence they didn’t know could be theirs.
Ann felt this way, too, once. She struggled with insecurity in many areas of her life. But she knew she wanted to share her story and her words with more women like you.
“I would say my own insecurities have been my biggest stumbling block,” Ann said. “There’s also a sense that many do things so much better than I do and my attempts don’t really matter.”
It was the encouragement of her friends through Stonecroft groups like this one that helped her to overcome her fears and become a speaker and later a trainer.
“Stonecroft has helped in this in many ways,” she explained. “My Stonecroft sisters seem to know when I need encouragement that I am not messing everything up and that what I do does matter. This assurance was so sweetly given through many women’s words at the [Live Extraordinary] conference to remind me I am worthy and able to serve.”
