Across State Lines
Betty is battling cancer. Donna’s husband just unexpectedly passed away. Tricia’s son isn’t speaking to her. Every woman on the call has challenges in her life and a safe place for prayer and compassion. These women gather with many others on a weekly basis on Stonecroft’s Wednesday National Prayer Call. They live from coast to coast. Most of them have never met in person. Yet, they love and care for one another through the connection provided every week.
The Stonecroft National Prayer call has been taking place for many years, but it came to take on a new and deeper significance in many women’s lives through the pandemic and continues today. After a short time of devotion and discussion, women from all walks of life share what’s on their hearts and allow others to lovingly pray for them.
From losing children to cancer to being newly diagnosed, from wanting to love their neighbors better to needing reconciliation with family members, women can and do bring their hurts and hopes to the National Prayer Call, knowing they will be lifted up.
